Reflection

The senior thesis project exposed me to a variety of experiences that advanced my technical skills, time management skills, and creativity. Being responsible for my own pace of work for the majority of the time allowed for a more efficient method of managing the effort and time spent on the project, as well as being on track with other tasks. Moreover, the opportunity of going through an in-depth analysis of engineering systems in a building strengthened my ability to critically analyze the different systems. Also, proposing alternative designs opened the opportunity for me to learn about several methods and systems that I have not been exposed to, creating a chance to innovate.

With the support of my advisor and the AE department, I was able to freely explore different methods of engineering design and apply many important academic knowledge into a project. I hope a can continue to learn and become exposed to more of such motivating and inspiring experiences.

Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Samer ElSebaie. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
